Poker Games – 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball

There are a number of variations of poker games that are played by millions of people all around the world. In the previous posts, we spoke about Texas holdem poker and Omaha poker. In this post, I will introduce you to another variant of poker called the 207 triple draw lowball.

This is another popular game that is enjoyed by people from all around the world. In the 2-7 lowball game, it is the player sitting on the left of the dealer who calls the ‘small blind’ first. The player to the left of this player has to place a ‘big blind’.

Each player is dealt five cards by the dealer starting from the player sitting to the left of the dealer. All cards are dealt one at a time with their face down. The betting begins once all the five cards have been dealt. The bet is placed by the player seated on the left of the player who placed the ‘big blind’.

After the completion of the betting round, the player who placed the ‘small blind’ starts the drawing round. In this round, the player tells the number of cards he would like to discard. This player will be given a new card for each card discarded. The player can also opt not to discard any card too.

The process of betting and drawing keeps repeating till the winner is declared.
